Service Projects
The Roseville Lions Club:
- Contributes annually to the Minnesota Lions Eye Bank and Children's Eye Clinic.
- Has collected and sent to foreign nations thousands of used eye glasses.
- Contibutes to the American Field Service and other Youth Exchange programs.
- Donates funds to Minnesota Hearing and Service Dogs Program.
- Contributes toward the Hearing Center Building Fund at the University of Minnesota.
- Financed the original Central Park Pavilion.
- Supports Camp Courage and other Lions Camps.
- Supports Youth Bicycle Safety Programs.
- Contibutes to the YMCA.
- Purchased the original scoreboard for football and basketball at the Alexander Ramsey High School (now Roseville Area High.)
- Helped develop Roseville Central Park by planting trees and flowers, building original pavilion, installing playground equipment, electricity and park benches.
- Donates to the Lions Diabetes Fund.
- Supports Youth Outreach/Quest Drug Awareness and prevention program.
- Leader Dog for the Blind.
The main focus of Lionism is on sight and hearing preservation.
Fund Raising Projects
Every successful Lions club sponsors fundraising projects in which the community can participate and towards which the community can contribute.
Some of the successful projects held by the Roseville Lions Club include:
- Sales of Christmas Trees
- Parking vehicles during Saints games and during State Fair
- Light Bulb Sales
- Fruit Cake sales
- Annual Golf Tournament in August
- Mustang Dinner
- Nuts and Candy Sales
- State Fair Kiddie Land Ticket Sales
